This procedure is usually indicated for patients to get rid of cellulite and localized fat deposits. It is also used for hair restoration. Another indication is skin rejuvenation as it is used to reduce the first signs of skin aging such as fine wrinkles on the face and neck.
Treatment is performed under local anesthesia in the case of treatment with Mesolift. The procedure is performed either manually or using a special medical device called a “meso-gun.” An individual mixture of active ingredients such as minerals, vitamins, hyaluronic acid, and antioxidants is gently injected into the different layers of the skin including connective tissue and adipose tissue using micro-injections.
If necessary, mesotherapy can be combined with fillers, peeling, or Botox injections.
Initially, treatment is done every two weeks for two months. Treatment is continued once a month for another two months. It is recommended to apply twice a year for maintenance.
After the procedure, your skin may develop small bleeding spots that stop after a few seconds. Generally, there are no negative effects seen in this treatment. Only in cases of allergies or pregnancy, some treatments are not recommended.
There are almost no complications from mesotherapy. However, as with every type of injection, there is a possibility of small skin irritations, which usually go away after a few days.
